‎Gwarzo’s Disqualification: APC Blames NDC Internal Crisis, Clears Gov. Yusuf ‎

By Adamu Muhammad

‎The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has blamed the disqualification of the NDC governorship candidate, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, on an internal crisis within the NDC, completely clearing Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of any involvement.
‎
‎According to a statement signed by the State Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa, the APC described Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s allegation linking the party and the Governor to the case as false, baseless, and an attempt to blackmail the party.
‎
‎The party clarified that the legal case against Gwarzo was filed by members of the NDC against their own party. It stressed that neither the APC, Governor Yusuf, nor the Kano State Government sponsored, influenced, or facilitated the court action.
‎
‎The APC warned that attempts to associate the party with the matter were misleading and intended to shift attention from the NDC internal problems.
‎
‎They also challenged Kwankwaso to provide credible evidence linking the APC or the Governor to the case.
‎
‎The party reminded the public that the judiciary is an independent arm of government. The party nor Governor Yusuf has the power to dictate court decisions or use state power against political opponents.
‎
‎The party confirmed its commitment to democratic principles and welcomed the participation of opposition parties in the 2027 elections. It urged Kwankwaso to allow the courts to do their job without unnecessarily politicizing legal matters.
