Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has denied reports that he agreed to share political offices with the All Progressives Congress APC in the state.
The Governor made this clarification following social media reports that his deal with the presidency included sharing local government, Senate, House of Representatives, and State Assembly seats between the Osun Accord and the state APC in the upcoming elections.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu re-election.
He stressed that this support does not include any agreement to share political offices, what unites the coalition partners is strictly the presidential election.
Rasheed described the reports of office sharing as “mere fabrication and fake news.”
Addressing the ongoing local government crisis in the state, the statement assured that the matter will be resolved before the end of the year.
The negotiations are strictly focused on protecting the interests of both the APC chairpersons and the elected PDP chairmen and councillors, he added.
