The Kano State Head of Civil Service, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, has announced the start of registration for the January 2027 Promotional Examination.
According to a circular issued by the Office of the Head of Civil Service through the Directorate of Human Resource and Service Improvement, registration started on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, and will close on October 25, 2026.
The circular, with reference number HCS/TS.100/SUB/62, said the examination is part of the requirements for merit based career progression and assessment of eligible civil servants.
Candidates are to register through the official OHCS Kano State portal at www.ohcskano.ng. They are to pay a non refundable fee of N1,000 during the registration.
Existing users are to log in with their KANOSG number and registered phone number. New users are to create an account and provide the required information. After registration and payment, candidates are to download and print their examination application slips from their dashboards.
The Head of Service urged all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to inform eligible staff about the circular and make sure they follow the registration guidelines.
She advised eligible officers to complete their registration within the given period. She said late registration will not be accepted under any circumstance.
