Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has denied reports that he is planning to leave the African Democratic Congress ADC for the All Progressives Congress APC.
In a statement by his media aide, Prince Daniel, Tambuwal’s office said the claims going around on social media are false and should be ignored.
It clearly stated that the former Sokoto State Governor has no plans to join the APC.
Tambuwal has friends in different political parties because of his years in public service. It said this should not be mistaken for him changing parties.
The statement also addressed the photos and videos being shared online. It said they do not prove any defection plan. It added that greeting or talking to members of another party does not mean he is leaving the ADC.
Tambuwal is fully committed to the ADC. He is focused on making the party stronger and getting it ready for the 2027 elections.
The office asked the media and people on social media to confirm news with them before posting. It warned that rumours should not be shared as facts.
It also urged supporters to stay focused, saying Tambuwal’s commitment to good leadership and the welfare of Nigerians has not changed.
