The people of Tudun Rubudi/Gadan Community in Tudun Fulani Ward, Ungoggo Local Government Area, have appealed to the Kano State Government to approve the relocation of an asphalt road project to their area.
In a statement signed by Comrade Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman on behalf of the community’s Acting Chairman, Malam Annur Ahmad Muhammad, the community said the project was moved from Titin Gayawa to Titin Gidan Gona. It said the relocation was contained in a letter from the National Productivity Centre with reference number MLNPC/DG/26/I/52, dated September 10, 2026.
The community said the decision by Hon. Sani Adamu Wakili, who represents Minjibir/Ungoggo Federal Constituency, has brought hope to them after years of neglect. It said the road is in bad shape, especially during the rainy season. Farmers cannot reach markets, children struggle to get to school, and sick people cannot reach hospitals. Businesses are also collapsing due to erosion and lack of drainage.
The community appealed to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to grant the required approval for the suspension and relocation of the project. The approval would align with the “Kano First” agenda, which calls for setting aside party differences for the public good. It also called on all stakeholders in Ungoggo LGA and Kano State to support the project.
The community said it is law abiding and trusts that the Kano State Government will approve the request without delay, prayed that Allah rewards Hon. Wakili and grants Governor Yusuf good health and wisdom to lead Kano State.
