President Bola Tinubu has sent the names of six new executive directors to the Senate for approval. These directors will work at the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority NMDPRA.
A statement from his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, explained that three of the people are returning to their old jobs, while three are new. If the Senate agrees, they will all work there for five years.
The three returning directors are Abiodun Adeniji in charge of Finance, Ogbugo Kalu Ukoha in charge of Storage and Distribution, and Dr. Mustapha Lamorde in charge of Health and Safety.
The three new directors are Mobolaji Tajudeen Musa, Ogechukwu Modie, and Said Abutalib. They will handle different parts of the agency, including transportation, economic planning, and administration.
President Tinubu asked the Senate to approve them quickly so the agency can keep working smoothly.
The President also approved Mrs. Jumoke Gafar to be the Secretary and Legal Adviser for the agency.
This comes a few months after he appointed Engr. Rabiu Abdullahi Umar as the head of the agency in April.
