‎Release Rilwan Olawale Now — Peter Obi Tells FG ‎

By Adamu Muhammad

‎The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress NDC, Peter Obi, has demanded the immediate release of his arrested supporter, Rilwan Olawale. He also told the Federal Government to put an end to the harassment of his followers across the country.

‎In a statement released on Monday, Obi described the continued intimidation of his supporters as disturbing and completely unacceptable. He accused President Bola Tinubu of encouraging violence to destroy the country democracy, noting that the President has benefited greatly from it.

‎”Our campaign is peaceful and focused on offering Nigerians a credible alternative built on competence, accountability, and justice,” Obi stated.

‎‎He warned that while his team has chosen peace and persuasion over violence and intimidation, their patience should not be mistaken for fear.

‎”Nobody should mistake our civility for weakness, our restraint for fear, or our commitment to peace for an absence of resolve. We will not be intimidated into silence,” he declared.

‎Obi demanded full transparency regarding Olawale’s arrest, respect for his human rights, and an immediate end to politically motivated harassment.

‎He stated that no government or political party has the right to stop Nigerians from supporting the candidate of their choice.
